Relax in our tea room with a selection of home-cooked food and freshly baked cakes. Where possible we source locally even using our own farm grown produce! You will find us in “Tastes of Bedfordshire”. The tea room has a wide range of hot and cold drinks and snacks. We offer a range of light refreshments to more satisfying meals with our menu promoting home made soup, a selection of sandwiches, baguettes or paninis, jacket potatoes, chilli and rice and pasta. Food prices range from £3.75 to £5.75.
Children can either chose from a hot mix & match menu or our cold picnic boxes. Both are priced at £4.00 and include a drink. With the hot menu the children chose either pizza (vegetarian), chicken nuggets (pure breast), sausages or fish fingers which are served with either chips, potato smilies or potato waffles and Heinz baked beans, peas or sweetcorn. The picnic boxes come with either a cheese, ham, jam or hot dog sandwich roll, crisps, yogurt, some chocolate and a piece of fruit.
For those visitors with food allergies, we have an ingredients list which can be referenced to. Where possible we seek to limit the scope of artificial ingredients in using the best ingredients – hence only offering Heinz baked beans. In trying not to make anyone feel different we are happy to substitute items where there is a particular allergy.
During the school holidays the tea room does become very busy in the main lunchtime period so it is worth considering eating earlier or later to avoid the queues! Last orders for hot food are generally an hour before closing.
Picnics
There are plenty of picnic tables and lawn areas around the farm so you are most welcome to bring your lunch with you. We would ask though that you clear any litter away. Thank you!
