General Farm Visit
Following an introductory talk by a member of our education team, the group moves outdoors to visit the rabbits and guinea pigs. We encourage both feeding and touching certain animals and we commence with some bunny cuddling. The visit then progresses to meeting the pigs, wild birds, horses, llamas and the goats. As we explore the farm, your leader will tell the children various facts about the farm animals. Most
groups then walk up to the Wacky Woods, walking along the side of the orchard. This allows scope to discuss where does our food come from? Once in the woods the group can explore various play houses. For the older children we can introduce maths into the visit with some tree measuring. Younger pupils enjoy looking for mini beasts. Having completed the woodland excursion, we are met by the tractor trailer which takes the class back to the farm. Following a thorough hand wash, most groups then break for lunch. What is left of the visit is normally reserved for free play either in the indoor play area or outdoors. Some groups also include a fire engine ride. This can be organised at an additional cost.
Group visits must be pre-booked and to be eligible you must have 15+ walking children. Admission prices for a General Farm visit weekdays are £5.25 per child and £4.50 per adult with 1 adult free for every 4 paying children. Children not yet walking are free.
