Summertime Fun
Summertime Fun - Saturday 21st July – Wednesday 5th September, daily from 9.30 a.m.

Attractions
With six weeks holiday looming the question arises as to how are the children to be entertained over that period? Here at Thurleigh Farm & Adventure Playground we like to think that we have the answer! As well as all our usual activities of the bungee trampolines, fire engine rides, mini quad bikes, indoor and outdoor play areas we run a different themed activity each week of the summer holidays. Not only that due to the tremendous response to the telling of ‘The Gruffalo’ we will be doing more story telling, see below.
Plus dont miss ...... Chris Welbourn from "Animal Encounters" who will be in residence every Wednesday for some hands-on animal sessions with his entourage of spiders, bugs, snakes and pygmy hedgehogs.
Weekday programme: (Monday to Friday)
23rd July - Kids Olympics
30th July - Cardboard Creativity
6th August - Pirate Mania
13th August - Kite Building
20th August - Roman Legions
27th August - Equestrian Antics
Story Telling
What great fun the Gruffalo was during Whitsun week. We will be repeating the Gruffalo during the summer holidays and doing other stories. Story telling however will be limited to Mondays-Fridays since we will need the weekends to set up the scenes for the following week. We will currently intend to limit these to 11am, 11:45am and 4:00pm sessions so that the remaining daily activities can be organised. So please come early or be prepared to stay a little late if you are particularly interested in the story-telling activities.
22nd-26th August We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
29th August – 2nd September: Three Little Pigs
We’re Going on a Bear Hunt will be interactive for parents who don’t mind the little ones swishing grass, splashing water, seeing how oozy the mud is or risking frost bite in the snow: wellies recommended! If the hunt proves successful, get the camera ready to snap the 'prize' and the youngsters.
The Three Little Pigs will involve the children helping to build a straw and a wooden house (we are leaving brick-laying to professional sub-contractors) for the doomed pigs (sorry but may have given a bit of the plot away). As with The Gruffalo there will be plenty of opportunities to meet, greet and be photographed with Mr Wolf.

Reviews
I feel so much effort has been put into your farm to make it a fun day for all. I visited a coupleof weeks ago when you had the equestrian event and this week the Olympics. I feel all your equipment is well kept and staff very friendly. I have of course recommended you to all my friends and a couple have already visited and loved it too. It covers all age groups. My grandchildren are too small for roller blading but will be next year and the 2 year old is too small for some of your lovely tractors etc but there again next year he will be. We had our lunch there too which was very good.
Booking
Pre-booking is unnecessary unless you are a group visiting. Admission is payable at the entrance to the farm.
